Even if now EVERYONE seems into healthy food and stuff, it’s very rare to hear sentences like “I’m starving for a salad!” or “I just had a salad, it was so yummy!”, even from a delirious hipster. Those terms just don’t go well together.
Until now.
You’ll be surprised to see how SLA is a nice and cozy place in De Pijp and Jordaan, now quickly spreading into a bunch of landmarks across Amsterdam, where your can make your taste buds happy while eating in a healthy way.
Surrounded by minimal design and bright white tiles, just approach the counter to order your freshly prepared and organic salad or just make your own, choosing from dozens of ingredients and juicy dressings. Vegans can easily make their home here, but there’s plenty of space and satisfaction for meat-eaters too, without feeling guilty for Planet Earth. And if you need some warmth during the winter season, you can also choose from a few delicious soups and hot drinks.
Nina, Jop and Ida, young founders of SLA, have been smart enough to develop a small chain around a simple concept, pointing right at young expat and workers in need of a quick meal, without drifting towards sandwiches and junk food. And for a cheap price too: 8 € for a salad is a wonderful price to pay to keep in balance body and mind.
With now 5 locations, you have no excuse not to try it. Check the menu, which is changing often, because salad is not boring anymore.
