Get the Crash Course every Friday at 1:30pm!
Architecture innovation and technology is one of the main attraction of this city, which literally has been built on water over the centuries and a lot of Dutch culture and history comes from studying how Amsterdam has been settled and evolved with enormous effort and tech know-how, today envied by most nations across the globe.
ARCAM is located in the city center, on Prins Hendrikkade, just 10 minutes walking from the Central Station, and the sculpture-building itself, designed by dutch architect René Van Zuuk, is a clear expression of Dutch architecture today.
It often hosts temporary exhibitions, but the website features also a very useful map about all the buildings you have to see in Amsterdam if you’re an archi-freak!
